Description

Lay down on a bench with your chest facing upwards. Begin by supporting a barbell with your arms above your body and elbows fully extended. Lower the barbell by flexing the elbows until the weight touches your chest. Return to the starting position by pressing the barbell upwards, extending the elbows, until arms are fully locked out again. Bench press variations include wide, standard, and narrow grips. Each emphasize a different set of muscle groups.
