Today was my first time doing band-assisted burpees in a workout, and they were fun! It was nice being able to spring up a little quicker with this extra weight on me, lol. Pregnant, gestational age 39 weeks. Should I be working out this far along? Well, I'm quite certain the worst that could happen is I'd go into labor! At this point, I'm pretty sure that's OK... ;)

I added this in today so that one of my members wouldn't be doing today's WOD by herself. I scaled it for pregnancy (36w2d) first by only doing each exercise as long as it took her to do the prescribed reps. Then, squats were box squats to parallel; pull-ups were with the green band; ring dips were jumping.

My calf is still pretty jacked from yesterday's sprints so I opted to row instead of run today. I stopped for a brief rest after the first 1000m, then again every 500m after that. I was shooting for sub-30, but I'm OK with 30:10.

Not a great workout today. Still pregnant! Gestational age 36w1d. During the 1st set of Tabata sprints my calf locked up on me and I could only do 4. I pushed through and finished the workout, but limited myself to 4 intervals of Tabata jogs instead of the 8 Tabata sprints. I blame the calf injury on insufficient warm-up and standing for almost 4 hours at the Avenged Sevenfold concert last night. In heels. :/ On a positive note, I discovered the pavilion in my neighborhood creates a nice little breezeway in the shade and is a great place for the stationary movements! Now I just need to figure out how I can rig a pull-up bar onto it. ;) Other notes: push-ups were narrow-width/incline; last 4 planks were incline; squats were box squats to parallel.

Did this workout Saturday morning at CrossFit Paragon in Chamblee-Dunwoody on Saturday morning. Pregnant, gestational age 34w4d. My knees-to-elbows weren't quite up to standard, but I gave myself a pass. ;)

McCluskey, pansy pregnant version. Cause when a HERO WOD comes up, you just can't skip it. Gestational age, 30 WEEKS!!! Where did the time go? First time running in a while...didn't feel too bad if you don't count the cramping in my calves now. :)

Always gotta finish with some metcon! Pregnant, gestational age 27w3d. The burpees included more like a push back onto hands & knees than a push-up. The belly is really getting in the way now! Pull-ups were done with two blue bands, one for each foot, to keep the band from rubbing across my belly.

Pregnant, gestational age 27w3d. Last set I felt a bit of a 2nd dip under the bar, making it more like a push jerk.

"Kelly" = 5 rounds for time of: Row 500 meters 30 step-ups at 20" 30 wall ball throws @ 10#/10' Pregnant, gestational 25w4d. Baby's not a huge fan of wall balls (the explosiveness full hip extension) so I had to break them into sets of 10, and it's getting harder to do step-ups (but I was able to do them all unbroken).

Pregnant, gestational age 25w1d. I hate scaling HERO WODs, but they cannot be skipped. Period. The step-ups were actually 19". "Wittman" U.S. Army Sergeant Jeremiah Wittman, 26, of Darby, Montana, assigned to the 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, based out of Fort Carson, Colorado, was killed on February 13, 2010, when insurgents attacked his unit with a roadside bomb in Zhari province, Afghanistan. He is survived by his daughters Miah and Ariauna, wife Karyn, siblings Robert H., Charity, Jenell, and Natasha, father Robert, and mother Cynthia Church.

Pregnant, gestational age 23w3d. Low bar back squat. Couldn't go too heavy because of sacral ligament pain. Full ROM until last set, then modified to parallel due to sacral pain.

Pregnant. Gestational age 23w3d. Had to change biomechanics to accomodate belly - wider stance, knees out more. Tailbone not accomodating heavy load.

Pregnant. Gestational age 23w0d. O-lifts scaled to 50% rx'd (135#*0.7*0.5). Ring dips scaled to jumping ring dips. The barbell is WAY nicer to work with than PowerBlocks. Last few cleans were full power cleans + front squats. Took a tumble on my tush on one when I got too low, oops! It's much harder to come out of that full squat when your belly's growing, lol! Nothing my chiropractor can't put back in place. ;)

Pregnant. Gestational age 22w5d. Rx'd WOD was 1RM cleans 1/min*15min but heavy O-lifts are out during pregnancy. Scaled to 50% rx'd weight (135#*0.7*0.5). Had to switch to hang cleans in round 9 due to contractions. Goal was 15 min and I got it plus 10 reps!
