Consider adding some interval training. Instead of doing 2 mile time trials, mix it up with a 6x800m at a slightly faster pace, taking <50% of your interval time to recover between reps. Or even 10x400. If your goal is to run a faster 2 mile, then you gotta combine shorter & faster intervals with longer, slower runs to build the cardio. Even just going for a 3-4 mile run will help make the 2 miles feel shorter. Apologies for the unsolicited advice, but I sense despair in your note, but you're clearly working hard. Improvements are around the corner. Hang in there, adjust your approach.
Agree with Doug! Intervals alternating with longer runs will help to improve your 2 mi TT . Running sprint intervals with controlled rest is key. Also on longer runs establish pacing goals per mile, so you can feel what your desired mile pace is to hit your 2 mi target.
