Why CompTrain?

CompTrain was created specifically to help athletes train and compete in the sport of CrossFit. The program offers 3 different training paths, depending on your goals/needs: training for the CrossFit Open, Regionals, or the CrossFit Games.

Who is CompTrain for?

Anyone! It is intended for those hoping to do well in the Open, or qualify for CrossFit Regionals and The Games. If you are looking to train and compete in the sport of CrossFit, this program is for you.

Paying For CompTrain

CompTrain WODs can already be accessed for free via The partnership with CrossFit btwb allows the workouts to be delivered to you on a daily basis for quick and easy tracking and analysis. You'll also get to interact with the greater CompTrain community via real-time leaderboards, comments, and emojis.

A Wealth Of Experience

I have personally competed at the CrossFit Games twice. I've also been lucky enough to coach some of the best athletes in our sport: Katrin Davidsdottir (3-time Games Athlete, 2015 “Fittest Women on Earth”), Mat Fraser (2nd place 2014, 2nd place 2015), Cole Sager (7th place 2015, 17th place 2014), Chris Spealler (seven-time Games Athlete, 3rd place 2011), Becca Voigt (seven-time Games Athlete, 3rd place 2011), Heather Bergeron (2-time Games Athlete, 8th place, 2010), Michele Letendre (five-time Games Athlete, 4th place 2014), and Team CrossFit New England (5-Games appearances, World Champions, 2011, Second Place 2013). Coaching these athletes has allowed me some unique insights into the most efficient and effective training programs.

Fitness Level

A gauge for your overall Fitness and Progress. This is a single number that captures how your performance stacks up to the rest of the community.

Competition Specific

Participants will have the option of choosing programming for, either, the Open, Regionals, or the Games. It all depends on the athlete's personal goals. The Open program is for those who have the Open as their big competition for the year. The Regional program is for those individuals confident they'll qualify from the Open with their sights set on a top 10 Regional finish, or even a podium finish. The Games program is for individuals who have qualified for the Games and/or are previous Games competitors. All three Tracks will show up automatically on your calendar. Pick the appropriate one and do it.

Instant Analysis

Receive instant analysis for each workout result. View personal records, gym/world rankings, work/power output, and more. You'll also receive Workout Levels (1-99) that will tell you how good your result actually is. How decent is a 4:22 Fran? Where does a 322 lb Deadlift rank? Which is better? Workout Levels will tell you. Instantly.

The Philosophy

Your goal is to become a three headed monster. Top athletes in CrossFit have Strength, Skills and Conditioning. Our program is designed to feed all three heads at the same time – every month, every week, every day. If you have a serious weakness in one, we'll keep feeding it until it's as big as the others. CompTrain is constantly addressing all three.

Movement Analysis

Easily find your 1, 3, 5 or 10 rep max for lifts or analysis on other movements. Find out which movements are strengths and weaknesses.
